Coming To A Chevrolet Dealer Near You: The 2023 Chevy Corvette Z06

You probably noticed the commotion at your local Chevrolet dealer when this sportscar finally became available.

It wasn’t that long ago that the Chevrolet Motor Company came out with an innovative, mid-engine Corvette called the Stingray. Well, Chevy is at it again. Announcements are expected this fall regarding a supercar that will change the world of driving. That’s right. The Chevrolet Corvette Z06 is coming to a Chevrolet dealer near you for 2023.

Could It Be Electric?

It’s hard to know exactly what Chevy is planning when it comes to this highly-anticipated Corvette. A recently released teaser video showcases the Z06’s engine roar and a tagline that suggests that “the streets will never sound the same.”

Many Chevy enthusiasts think this tagline is the hint towards an all-electric Corvette. This could match up with other things that have been heard around the watercolor. For example, in 2020, someone familiar with Chevy production suggested that an EV Corvette was at least two years away. There’s even a video clip circulating of President Joe Biden, while on the campaign trail in 2020, mentioning his love for the Corvette and how he heard there was an electric car coming that could hit 200 mph.

Of course, this is all speculation, but it wouldn’t be off-brand for Chevy to do something this big. Many auto manufacturers are placing focus on more eco-friendly vehicles, including all-electric options. We can be certain, however, that even if the Z06 isn’t fully electric, Chevy definitely has something special in-store.

If the Z06 isn’t powered by an electric motor, you should expect something along the lines of Chevy’s 5.5-liter V8 engine sporting twin camshafts. Expectations are high; you might even see up to 625 horsepower and 480 lb0ft of torque.

Go Faster With An Exotic Engine

All signs point to the Corvette Z06 going down a new path under the hood. You should absolutely expect a car meant for the track but balanced for the road. It will have various aerodynamic enhancements and updated suspension.

Rumor has it that this Corvette’s engine will be naturally aspirated, which falls in line with how the engine sounds in the teaser video. Since the Corvette is already known as a speed demon, expect this updated sports ride to blast off with even more velocity.

Z Marks The Spot

Along with showing off all of the updated hardware and mechanical elements, your local Chevrolet dealer will be stoked to introduce an updated style. One of the most noticeable enhancements is a fresh “Z” logo. Fans of the older Z06 will recognize this emblem from the Z on the steering wheel.

Even though there isn’t a ton of information available on this new supercar, there’s still plenty of reason to get excited. Expect huge reveals in the coming months, and get ready to visit your local Chevrolet dealer to learn more and reserve your Chevy Corvette Z06 soon.
