You might not expect an exotic sports coupe to be one that needs to be tested in the foul weather that can occur in Europe, but automakers want to make sure you don’t have to limit yourself when it comes to your drive. Aston Martin has this in mind and took the new Vanquish, covered in camouflage, out to Lapland to test this new car in weather that brought a temperature below freezing to see if this car could handle the cold and be driven under nearly all conditions in the roads in Europe.
This gorgeous two-door coupe will be one that has a lot in common with the DB11 that is located at the top of the range from this brand. This will be a sportier car in theory than the DB11 which is one of the most comfortable GT models in the lineup from the Aston Martin brand. You’re going to be amazed by this car when it shows up on the market, which is expected to take place in 2020 that will be offered for us to see at one of the shows in late 2018 or early 2019.
A Few of the Details
As we look at the new Vanquish, we see this car will show off with a wide, open-mouth grill, a large front splitter, massive side intakes, and a set of side skirts that feature a small wing that’s placed just behind the front wheels. This car will also show up with a small rear spoiler, a multi-segmented rear diffuser, and quad exhaust tips. Other items you’re going to see that make this more impressive will be the large brakes, the Pirelli Sottozero winter tires (which could have only been in place for the testing), and the large hood vents.
Under the hood, we expect this new version of the Vanquish will be powered by a 5.9-liter twin-turbocharged V12 engine that is the same one found in the DB11. This amazing engine is one that pushed the power above the 600 horsepower level while being attached to an incredible eight-speed automatic transmission to give you the drive. Considering the competition the Vanquish will be keeping, the power will likely reach as high as 650 ponies to make sure you can have the sports car that will be a lot of fun for you to drive if this happens to be the car you choose for your exciting fun and daily driving duties.
